Ever wonder who would come out on top in a head to head conflict between Halo 3 and Crysis? Well you only have to wait till September 25th to find out! Crysis isn't coming out until November 16th, but there is going to be a demo on September 25th which just so happens to be the exact same day as he release of Halo 3! Yes, thats right, expect a lot of FPS players to call in sick, because the sparks are going to be flying as the industries two most highly anticipated FPS games are having simultaneous releases.

From what I've heard a lot of people seem to think Crysis will be completely overshadowed, but I personally know a lot of Wii players who will not be playing Halo at all. While Halo 3 is just an extension of the series and doesn't bring anything really revolutionary to the table, Crysis is an industry redefining FPS game. It's the first real direct x10 title that is fully taking advantage of the technologies capabilities. FPS players in general should be way more excited about Crysis; as the level editor will undoubtedly give rise to a multiplayer shooting game akin to Counterstrike. The bottom line is that shooting games with console controlers automatically lose when compared with mouse and keyboard games.

EA has also promised "a huge suprise" along with the Crysis demo. What this could be is anyones guess. Check back here after the 25th for news and our thoughts on both games.
