With 168 confirmed companies occupying 1708 booths, this year's Tokyo Game Show will be the biggest the event has ever been. The show will run for four days from September 20-23rd and is expected to attract over 200,000 attendees.
The first two days of the event will be invitation only for the business and industry participants, and the latter two days will be open to the public. Sony Computer Entertainment president Kazuo Hirai will deliver the keynote speech titled "A look at our business strategy toward new growth: the expanding Playstation world."
Big name exhibitors scheduled to be at the show include Capcom, Konami, Namco Bandai, Square Enix, Sega, and Sony. Nintendo, however has not yet confirmed its entry, although a spokesperson told 'Next Generation' that its absence from the initial lineup did not necessarily mean its absence from the event altogether.
