This time I sat down and talked with my old friend and ex-guild leader Amstel. Grab the podcast
Here I started WoW before him and got him invited to my original guild Harm. After we got sick of being peons in a huge machine Amstel left and began his own guild called Vendetta, which I joined a few weeks later. We progressed through every dungeon at lightning speed eventually killing C'thun and getting fairly deep into Naxx before BC was released.
In this interview I tried to hit on every major point of interested related to WoW and MMORPGs in general. Patch 2.3 is discussed, item selling, grief play, AV, PVP balance, guild drama, AFKing in battlegrounds, arena system exploitation (win trading), and finally we spend a lot of time talking about the aspects of WoW we find lacking compared to other "real" fun mmorpgs we have played together in the past. Developers take note. Players, if you want to express your views and do an interview like this you know where to find me.
Here are some highlights to wet your appetite
Newton: So what made you quit and then what made you re-start WoW?
Amstel: I just restarted because I was bored. I had nothing to do, but what made me stop is I just don't think it's a good game.
Newton: I hear that a lot.... that it's not a good game, but people keep playing it.
Amstel: Well as MMOs go there is really nothing better that's out right now, so it's either play this or play nothing.
