Gears of War is on its way to the PC with lots of newly added features, including five new single player chapters, improved graphics, and a map editor, just to name a few. Every hopeful 360 owner was probably wondering whether or not these additions will make their way to the consoles. Sorry to disapoint, Gears PC producer Rod Fergusson says no gears expansion for you!

"There is no plan to provide the PC exclusive content to X-box 360 gamers for a number of technical reasons. One is simply the size and scope of the new content, which would be difficult to deliver as an update. More importantly, Gears of War for Windows was not created with the same version of the Unreal Engine 3 as Gears of War for 360. We wanted to take advantage of all the latest and greatest optimizations and features that are constantly being added to UE3, and as such this new content is not easily compatible with the X-box 360 version."

Not even a plan for an expansion for the console version exists at this point. 360 owners will just have to put their encounter with the Brumak on hold till later.
