Today information about the season 3 arena gear from World of Warcraft has become available. This gear is equivalent to level 144 items. While season 1 had the stat points of tier 4, season 2 was the equivalent of tier 5. This season 3 gear has the stat point equivalent of teir 6 gear. Yup, the stuff that comes from Black Temple. The only difference is all the attributes on these are geared toward PVP and nothing else, making this by far the best armor in the game for PVP.

Additionally they have released various sets of this gear for each individual PvP viable spec in the game. No longer will Feral Druids and Enhancement Shamans be able to QQ about poor itemization. Oh wait, they already are complaining that these sets have crit rating instead of agility.

And of course there is the biggest thing, the weapons These are serious upgrades over the season 1 counterparts, but they require 1850 rating to weild.
