Jack Thompson, anti-video game violence lawyer extraordinaire, has come out tryin to block the release of Grand Theft Auto IV due to a claim that he himself appears in the game as a target. In a letter to the Florida Federal Court Thompson wrote "The showcasing play of the game... revealed that the first killing mission of the “hero” of the game, Niko, is to kill a certain lawyer. When Niko comes into this lawyer’s office, having used subterfuge to do so, Niko pulls a gun on the lawyer who says, “that the firm supports the second amendment and that ‘Guns don’t kill people. Video games do.’”…The fact that the lawyer, killed on Niko’s first mission, would bring up video games, makes it clearly a reference to me… This is not the first time Rockstar Games and Take Two have targeted me in this fashion. Take Two references to me as a bisexual pedophile on its corporate website…"

I don't personally know if Jack Thompson is actually a bisexual pedophile, but I do know he is a scumbag lawyer who tries to blame violence on video games! The lack of intelligence required to jump to that conclusion is stunning. Anyone who blames video games for real life crime is more than a little bit retarded. The funny part is Jack claims Rock Star is making him a target, but in reality he made himself a target when he started trying to eliminate free speach and pervert the American constitution. When you try to make intolerable laws the result is direct action by the people. Fighting to eliminate my free speech is pushing me in the direction of violence infinitely more than some video game. Jack Thompson you will get my violent video games when you pry them from my cold dead hands!
