I've been following this Jack Thompson case with eagerness to see justice prevail. Earlier Florida Supreme Court Judge Dava Tunis recommended he be found guilty on 27 of the 31 misconduct counts filed against him. Jack started all types of bad lawsuits against video games and then things got a little crazy when he filed hardcore gay porn with the court as "examples" of the types of things he was against. Apparently that didn't sit to well with them and they began to question if he should even be a lawyer at all.

"After considering the arguments presented by the Florida Bar and the Respondent (Thompson), observing the Respondent's demeanor during the nine-day trial proceedings, and carefully reviewing the record consisting of four volumes of exhibits totaling 1700 pages and approximately 2400 pages of transcribed testimony, the Court finds that the facts, circumstances and evidence presented regarding the Respondent's conduct, supports a finding of guilt as to certain Florida Bar rules..."

If you don't already know this is cause for celebration because Jack Thompson is an idiot who crusades against video games of all sorts. He has started many baseless and wasteful lawsuits against companies such as Nintendo and Take Two. Some of the more serious charges he is recommended to be found guilty of are making false statements in court and dishonest or fradulent practices. We can hope these carry a penalty of possible jail time, but disbarment would be nice too.
