Jake Gyllenhaal (AKA the whitest guy in Hollywood) has been cast to play the lead role in the new Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie. The film is produced by Bruckheimer and directed by the guy who did some Harry Potter movies, and apparently none of them saw Jar Head because in that movie Gyllenhaal's complexion wasn't even close to phased by filming in the desert for weeks. He looked like a freshly built pyramid with limestone sides . The dude could seriously cause snow blindness in Iraq and now he's playing a Persian prince. What is he going to do wear blackface makeup?

The new bond girl Gemma Arterton (sounds hot) from Quantum of Solace plays the role of Tamina. She and the prince fight some badguy, yadda yadda yadda, she doesn't get naked. Bottom line: probably not worth seeing. I did dig Donnie Darko, but this sounds like a remake of Tomb Raider just with reversed sex appeal. Who casts a bed sheet to play a Persian guy anyways? I can't get over that. If they do something that whack the movie is bound to suck.
