Well, looks like this game is now being turned into a movie!
Mark "Marky Mark" Wahlberg (The Departed, Planet of the Apes, The Basketball Diaries) is in talks to masquerade as the malicious mobster murderer Max Payne in a film based on the property according to a report from Variety. Inspired by the video game series developed by Remedy Entertainment, the Twentieth Century Fox funded movie is expected to enter production next year.
Wahlberg will make the film after he completes "The Lovely Bones" for director Peter Jackson and Dreamworks. John Moore (The Omen) is attached to direct. Julie Yorn (Afro Samurai) and Scott Fayne (Alice) will produce. Max Payne will most likely join the ranks of the other great gtames tha thave been turned into movies such as the academy award-winning movie Doom.
