Having 4 years to make this game you think they'd have enough time to make this game as good as they hyped it up to be. Now I dont know what the hell took them 4 years to make it but if its anything its just another good game.
As far as the features go there's so much more they could've done. All the people that you can blend with are scripted and for being a freeroam, sandbox game there should be no such thing. They just do the same looping routes over and over. It would actually make it more fun because then you would have to actually look for a group instead of opening your map and going "oh there's a group I can go hide in, in the exact same place they always are. And the leap of faith is only cool like 3 times and then your good. Combat and running away gets a little repetive too. Although I do like the fact that open conflicts can get a bit challenging at times. But the AI at times can be disappointing, you figure the guards could keep up the chase better sometimes. And i dont want to spoil it for anyone, but the ending sucks. I know it's a cliffhanger and all but still. I want some kind of reward for all the hard work i did. And instead it leaves you with a bunch of questions. Good job you win now go do it again.
Do I recommend this game? It's more fun then wipeing your ass with a pinecone.
Who should play this game? Wannabe assassins.

On Nov 30, 1998 Thief: The Dark Project came out and became the godfather of the stealth genre. Not only was it a great game but it was also realistic. In Assassins Creed you play as a mysterious assassin named Altaïr who looks and behaves much like Garrett from Thief, except for some reason Altaïr ignores gravity. If Garrett would jump into a hay stack from a rooftop he would break his legs and back much like you and I would, but Altaïr recovers just fine.
This sleek assassin can disappear in a large crowd and blend in with priests and other town folk. If you tried to do that in real life the priests would point you out and the guards would quickly find you. Of course, Assassins Creed allows you to do some quests for some NPCs which will make them like you, but how many NPCs can you really bribe? Is everyone in the Holy Land such a fucking blind retard that that he can't see a difference between his over-the-top outfit and a poor looking priest outfit? One cannot spot bloodstains on his white costume? I know it's just a game but is making spectacular jumps and having fights enough to make a good game?
The fact that you can climb any building is awesome. It's kind of like playing a Spiderman game but without being dressed up in a tight homo erotic suit. There is enough variety to keep most people busy, but the lack of story and basic realism annoys me. What you get is a lot of fun-packed action thrills mixed with quests that are standard--kill this guy, spy on that guy, eavesdrop on a conversation. If you don't pay attention to the obvious flaws and the shitty story you will enjoy this game, and if you played Thief: The Dark Project this game will bring you nothing but nostalgia. Climbing houses and doing basic quests with a twist won't do the trick for gamers who've seen it all.
Do I recommend this game? Yes, even though it is lacking in story, the game play is what really matters in the end. It just sucks that it doesn't have both.
Who should play this game? Anyone who is able

One word could be used to describe Ubisoft’s newest release Assassin’s Creed –mediocre. There are some really great elements in this game but just as many drawbacks. Players assume the role of the assassin Altair (The Flying One), a member of the Hashshashin, a group that actually existed between the 11th and 13th centuries, whose objective was to dispatch the nine historical figures that were deeply rooted in the Crusades.
Assassin’s Creed is profoundly rich with historical accuracy. The precise representation of the three major cities – Damascus, Jerusalem, and Acre is nothing short of astonishing. The environment is completely interactive, whether it’s with objects or the people flooding the crowded city streets. Players can climb and grab onto pretty much anything, making the ability to explore that much greater. While scaling walls and leaping from rooftop to rooftop requires little skill, it never really loses its excitement.
Assassin’s Creed uses a “Puppeteer system” in which each button represents a part of the body. If you want
to look around you would use the top most button for the head, right and left for your weapons and bottom button for your legs. Load times are long and bothersome but luckily do not happen often enough to become a real problem. In fact, once you arrive in a main city, you can go from one end to the other with no loading time what so ever. The missions become repetitive quickly and certain quests (such as pick pocketing) can be done so quickly they hardly provide a challenge. The camera angles at time can be a hindrance and might result in your immediate demise as soldiers throw attack after attack at you. Assassin’s Creed is truly stunning and the graphics are breathtaking. While this game is not the work of genius that we had all hoped and expected, this title is still worth spending your hard earned money on.
Do I recommend this game? This game is worth taking a look at
Who should play this game? Xbox 360 users obviously.
